My name is James Clark.

I live in Kent close to the Eurostar, Eurotunnel and the ferry ports giving me easy access to France.
I have finished a career of 27 years in the financial services industry, all with the same employer. I spent 18 years working abroad and more than 12 of them around Paris. My experience lies in project management, Treasury management and IT. I understand the social, cultural and work differences between England and France and am used to getting things done.
I speak fluent French - obligatory for this work.

I founded "french-entente" to support and encourage businesses and private clients to explore the opportunities, both commercial and personal, of France with their eyes open and to be aware of the huge advantages, and few constraints, of doing business or living there. It is most often the unknown that frightens and first impressions do count. My goal is to make sure that you know what to expect, whether you are a family, a multi-national corporation or a growing business or partnership.

My service allows you to start your project before leaving the UK. It will make the whole process less stressful and more fulfilling because you understand what is going on and we will have anticipated together most of the questions and situations that will arrive. You will be accompanied and supported from the start by sincere and empathetic people who know, respect and love France and the French. My team are all handpicked and are able to react quickly.

I only do business with clients that I have met face to face - this web site is a shop window. There is no commitment on either side until we have all met, scoped and agreed any work.
